Go beyond the gallery walls with an intimate conversation featuring the artists behind Crafting the Diaspora: A Black Queer Lens of Artisans and Communal Archiving. Exhibiting artists Asari Aibangbee, Nandi Mathews, Marie-Josè Njoku-Obi, and Corey Pemberton will discuss their creative practices, the role of craft as a vehicle for memory, resistance, and cultural preservation, and the ways their work reimagines both history and future.
Moderated by curator Mikayla Rodriguez, founder of UNMET Collective, this artist talk offers a deeper look at the ideas, influences, and lived experiences that shape the exhibition, followed by an opportunity for audience Q&A.
