An experimental embodied writing space for folks looking to be in the messy sociality of writing together. At STICKY, we get into the strange, random, hard to understand, and difficult to leave places within ourselves and our language. We press, pull, sort, channel and touch.

About the event
STICKY POETRY CLUB
STICKY POETRY CLUB is an experimental embodied writing space for folks looking to be in the messy sociality of writing together. At STICKY, we get into the strange, random, hard to understand, and difficult to leave places within ourselves and our language. We press, pull, sort, channel and touch. We experiment, we fail, we play!
This workshop is for writers and artists of all kinds: Experienced, curious, & questions. That includes poets, fiction writers, musicians, screenwriters, visual artists, journalists, diarists, list-makers...anyone looking for rejuvenation, play, and companionship in their relationship with language.
For this special edition of STICKY POETRY CLUB at nina atwater, we will be playing with an "animorphing poetics of loss" by pressing into languages of animality, grief, transition, and viscous fluidity. We'll be reading writing exclusively by queer and trans writers and artists, immersing ourselves in the brilliance, humor, oddness, curiosity, mundanity and lyricism…
