About the event
STICKY POETRY CLUB
STICKY POETRY CLUB is an experimental embodied writing space for folks looking to be in the messy sociality of writing together. At STICKY, we get into the strange, random, hard to understand, and difficult to leave places within ourselves and our language. We press, pull, sort, channel and touch. We experiment, we fail, we play!
This workshop is for writers and artists of all kinds: Experienced, curious, & questions. That includes poets, fiction writers, musicians, screenwriters, visual artists, journalists, diarists, list-makers...anyone looking for rejuvenation, play, and companionship in their relationship with language.
For this workshop, we will be reading writing exclusively by trans and nonbinary writers and artists. Together we will immerse ourselves in the brilliance, humor, oddness, curiosity, mundanity and lyricism of poems, essays, manifestos, plays, and songs written by trans and non-binary writers. Everyone is welcome!
